I previously posted this on March 23, 2008 on another blog that I am phasing out.
If you want to know how candidates Sen. John McCain, Sen. Hillary Clinton, and Sen. Barack Obama each voted on key or any measures before Congress, the Washington Post has the tool for you here: http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/. However, how they voted aside, to me what I found most interesting was under each vote was a breakdown by the standard party, state, region and gender, but also “boomer status” and “astrological sign.” What my wife and I couldn’t believe is that someone actually wasted their time to determine this information. Who really finds information such as this: http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/110/senate/2/votes/85/: interesting? I mean, according to this particular vote on S. Con. Res. 70, I should be blaming or crediting, depending on my political view, the Libras and the Scorpios for the legislation that passed. As a Gemini, should I be offended at what those other signs did? Somehow I don’t think I will be put as much thought or effort into any of it as the good folks at the Washington Post did.
