This past weekend was Lollapalooza in Chicago; last month, Pitchfork Music Festival also in Chicago and the previous month, Bonnaroo in Tennessee. Through the magic of the Interwebs and YouTube, I was able to catch parts of all three festivals and I for one was impressed — at least with the parts I saw. As a teenager, I was able to attend quite a few music festivals, but mostly Christian music festivals such as Creation (now Creation East and Creation West). Have you gone to festivals in the past? What were some of your favorites, why and what bands/artists were the highlights?

One of these days, I will get to Lollapalooza. We actually priced tickets for it last year, but they were only offering them for the entire three days of the festival. This year, it fell on my daughter’s birthday, and she’s not old enough to subject herself to that just yet. But I will get there one day. Oh yes. It will happen.
